The third container left for Malawi on Saturday 22 June. It was a fantastic day and BBT had great support from a large number of volunteers. We had over 300 banana boxes on the container and took the total number sent to Malawi, Africa past the 1000 mark. We have now sent out over 3600 boxed items in one year to Ekewndeni a great achievement. We must thank all those who have sent in items, who have volunteered there Saturday mornings, donated financially and of course a huge thank you to those who turned up on the day to load the container.
The update on the container as of 5 July, is that it has left Antwerp and is now heading to Portugal. Each container costs over £11,000 to send to Africa, so please keep up your financial support it is essential to the work we do.
